If you are anything like me, you have moments where you are stuck and need a little “push” to get you through. Lately, I have been having these “brain-freeze” moments more than usual because of my busy schedule as a full-time student and part time worker. I have found that browsing through Pinterest, using specific keywords, has helped me a tremendous amount for sparking new ideas. If Pinterest isn’t really your thing and your inspiration derives from being out into the world, I recommend going to art shows, specifically Opening Nights and Artist Talks. You can essentially find inspiration and network at the same time. Joining photo communities like 500px and Instagram are also great platforms to follow and look at other photographers’ works.
I have several different boards for different themes, concepts, emotions, etc. I even use Pinterest to convey ideas to models and clients.
