Lately, I have become more invested in focusing my energy into the commercial side of photography. I spend most of my time generating ideas through my favorite platform, Pinterest for fashion shoots or walking the aisles of grocery stores looking for the next product to shoot. So when an opportunity presents itself for me to go out into the world to photograph, I typically join. Recently, that opportunity presented itself in the form of an artist talk/photo walk by one of my photography professors, Sebastien Boncy and Mystic Lyon. I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to not only clear my head, but also to learn historic Fifth Ward in Houston, Tx.
In a lot of ways Houston is different my hometown, Birmingham, AL. Yet when I walked around Fifth Ward, I felt at home watching people walk around and interact with one another.
